Youth Sports Leagues
The Crossroads YMCA has reinvented the overall sports experience in our Recreational Youth Leagues which will be unique & unforgettable for your child. Our leagues emphasize teaching athletes valuable life lessons through sport; teamwork, respect for all, sportsmanship, and personal responsibility. Our goal is to give our community a safe, fun, and family environment for all to learn, grow, and compete together. It is our community, the volunteer coaches, and trained in-house YMCA officials that help make our leagues so special. We focus on development, rather than becoming the next professional athlete.
We offer a multitude of sports including basketball, soccer, volleyball, and more. Our leagues range from 4U to 14U, and branches will offer specific age groups based on capacity limits. There are four different sessions each year, please refer to our program brochure for exact dates and offerings.
Adult Sports Leagues
Sports, fun, and exploring new interests aren't just for the young. Along with improving health, whenever teamwork is involved, there's the added benefit of being connected to others. That's why you'll find a range of recreational activities at the Y. With something to offer for everyone, there's no such thing as being too old to get into the game.
FUNdamentals
The YMCA's FUNdamental Sports Programs teach the basic skills of the sport through drills and practices with less emphasis on the game. We concentrate more on the fundamentals of the sport. Open for ages 2-4, classes run for 30 minutes. Each participant is required to wear gym shoes and sports attire. Equipment will be provided and parent involvement is required during class.
Clinics
Instructional clinics are a fantastic way to introduce children to a new sport and prepare them to play at the league level. YMCA trained staff lead athletes in engaging drills and games to develop the fundamental skills required for the sport, while they make new friends and have a blast. Everyone plays, learns, and wins in YMCA sports clinics!
Sports Performance
Explore our Sports Performance options! From Beginner to Elite, these programs are designed to develop good exercise habits and build upon the participants athletic foundation. Classes incorporate speed and strength training to improve coordination and self confidende, in a fun and friendly environment. Join us today to maximize your potential!
