Youth Swim (School Age)

The National YMCA Progressive Swim Program stresses endurance, personal safety, skill development, and lifesaving techniques. The four competitive strokes are introduced and perfected as emphasis is placed on development of the total child. Students will work with and without flotation devices. Students will be evaluated and moved to the appropriate level.

Participants will progress through 6 levels of stroke development focusing on water safety and mastering swim skills. Progress reports are given at the end of the course. Ages 6-12 years for 45 minute class. We offer the Youth Swim classes at Hammond, Southlake and Whiting branches.
