Healthy Back Program
If you’re troubled by back pain, you’re not alone. This problem affects over 80% of all adults at some time in their lives. The suffering can range from a periodic twinge that makes it difficult to perform everyday tasks to excruciating pain that makes it impossible to get out of bed. The YMCA Healthy Back program addresses chronic back pain by teaching you safe stretches and exercises, reducing daily stressors like improper sitting, standing, sleeping, driving, and providing valuable resources to utilize at home.
- Cost: $100 members; $135 guests
- Mondays from 6-7:30pm
Age 16 & older. Join world-record setting powerlifter Sharon Bohling and fellow powerlifter Nate Anglin for a 3-hour clinic covering the basics of powerlifting. Class size limited to 10 so register early. The certified personal trainers will review form and techniques for each of the three primary lifts–squat, bench and deadlift. Each participant will receive form critiques and tips. Other topics covered will be general guidelines for training and an overview of competitions.
