The Y has helped me grow as a professional and more importantly, shaped me as a person I am proud to be. I am blessed to be able to do a job that positively impacts the lives of thousands of people in my own community.

Working at the Y has not been "just a job", as I originally thought it would be. Being part of the Y has actually been an uplifting experience, from the normal challenges and/or limitations of a non-profit organization to the love and candor that lifelong YMCA members have for our facilities and their amenities. This wide range is successfully bridged by the care and professionalism of our staff on each one of our different departments.

It changed my life!! An extension of family I never knew I needed. Getting my health in order ended up putting my life in order. I love my co-workers and students ❤. Aquafit for life!!

My kids played soccer and basketball at the Y in the 90's. I took out a membership a few years ago for myself and last June, when I got laid off from another employer, I applied at the Y and got a job. I love working at the Y! I enjoy the staff and the concern we have for each other, as well as the friendships I have with members I see regularly. I also love the connection I have with the members of the aqua fit classes that I teach and also attend. If I didn't work at the Y, I would still be participating in the group classes.

The Y welcomed me back into a profession I thought I could not return to. The Griffith Early Learning Academy helped me find my passion for teaching preschool again and for that I am grateful. The YMCA has also helped me see leadership potential in myself, that on my own, I never would have considered.

Shortly after becoming an employee, I learned that the YMCA is a place where you develop new talents, grow as a person, discover purpose and pursue your passion. I began my journey with the Y nearly 13 years ago and it has been the greatest adventure.

I love working at the Y because the kids are awesome and we laugh a lot.

Aside from finding a home within the YMCA community; Working with the kids is fun and allows me an opportunity to be a trusted adult for our kids.

I love working at the YMCA because I love seeing the difference we make in our children and watching them grow as an individual.

The Y has become my family! We get to encourage and be encouraged every day! Being surrounded by smiles, laughter and positive energy is a true gift.
